Really beautiful vintage build. Daccordi track frame built up mostly with Gipiemme components. Since its build last year it has been ridden twice at Herne Hill and there and back from the East, so less than 50 miles and never seen rain.

Daccordi pure track frame, tubing unbadged but almost certainly Columbus SLX, the frame is very light. Very good to excellent condition, no dings / dents and just a couple of paint chips and one or two scratches, most of which hopefully I've show in the photos. The forks are in good condition but there is one area at the top of the right fork where the chrome has flaked off. Even so, in very good condition for its age (I think it's probably late 70s / early 80s). Lovely lug detailing. No drillings.

Spec as follows - due to minimal mileage I am including NOS parts.

Frame: seat tube c-t 54cm; top tube c-c 52cm. Very light, weighed by Retro_di_corsa at 1.6kg. Standover height is 79/80cm.
H/s - Campagnolo, came with frame.
    BB - Gipiemme Pista
    Cranks - Gipiemme Pista, 170mm, 144bcd 48T Gipiemme chainring
Cog - Condor 19T CNC machined
    Lockring - Gipiemme
Pedals - Gipiemme Sprints, good but worn; Christophe toeclips
Wheels - NOS Gipiemme small-flange pista to NOS Mavic MA2 rims. Rubino Pro 23mm tyres.
Seat pin - Gipiemme Cronosprint Aero 27.2 - ok condition, looks great
    Saddle - NOS Iscaselle Tornado
    Stem - 3ttt 90mm
Handlebars - 3ttt pista, 40cm with NOS Benotto tape

Bike is set up in pictures for someone 172cms / 5'7''ish tall.

I think I'm on pretty safe ground to say this is a very very nice bike at a very good price so there'll be very little room for movement. I'm looking for £675, bank transfer/paypal to collect from Hackney only. Please only pm if you're genuinely interested, I won't answer pointless pms. I won't be splitting until further notice, so if you want to make a sensible offer that will sew things up quickly feel free, but bear in mind what you're getting for the price I'm asking. Just to repeat, I won't even be thinking of posting this out, sorry but it's collection from London only.

    Cheers y'all

  • ohhh! nice.

    want.

    but won't.

  • would you send to Germany? :D

  • just joking!

  • LOLZ

    Real funny.

The famous German sense of humour? Oh, wait...

  • best to get these things out the way early on..

  • Since its build last year it has been ridden twice at Herne Hill and there and back from the East, so less than 50 miles and never seen rain.

Who did you lend it to?

  • heh heh.. check the size, smartie-pants..

  • Ooops, fair enough.

  • Very nice top quality frame (I remember it well!) and a very nice build, a bargain at asking price.

  • cheers hutch, yes it's a lovely frame and the build is extremely classy (I can say this cos I didn't build it)..

gipiemme stuff is highly rated and cos they always played second fiddle to campagnolo in the market place stuff is much scarcer. NOS hubs like these are hen's teeth and the wheels on this alone cost £250 to assemble. Gipiemme track cranks are also scarce and rated.... c'mon people, I know lfgss suffers from threehundredandfiftypound-itis but this is a bike to make an exception for..!

it's a mark of how much care went into the build that the person who built it hasn't gone out on the streets with it to ride around in style - it was meant to be the basis for spending more time at the track but they just won't be using it next year due to other sporting commitments. It would be a real shame to split it up when there are graceless and completely forgettable OTPs and london shop builds out there at this price.

No-one has even made me a serious offer yet, so I'll knock £5 off the asking price in order to comply with rules about bumping. Now £675..;)

  • Hi, very interested in this, have sent you a PM.
    Ta

  • cheers JaRyder, I've added a few more dimensions off the back of your pm.

  • Absolutely gutted :(

Dream machine in my size for more than I can afford.

  • Dibs

  • This is definitely not Aelle, much lighter with a more tuneful 'ting'.

  • Phil! Bonita... Very nice indeed! Good luck with the sale!

  • heh..cheers guys. no i'm fairly sure it's not aelle and i'm not much of an expert, but i compared it to a keirin panasonic a year or so ago and the difference in weight was remarkable...!

right, i seem to have a firm dibs from JaRyder at the moment and someone else is also interested, update to follow after the weekend.

  • Pure filth.
I'm glad it comes up too short.

  • Thankfully it's too small for me - good luck with the sale!

  • SOLD.. thanks JaRyder, nice to meet you and hope to see you at HH in the Spring..

  • Luckily I'm a shortarse.
Fits like a glove, light as a feather. Lovely bike.
    Thanks mate.
