Ha ha we punt to work everyday .
Gaily doffing our caps to street urchins selling pies on their heads dodging carriages and farmers driving their livestock into the market. Mischievous undergrads dangle motor cars from bridges and other mad student japes to hinder our progress . We smile indulgently at the rascals safe in the knowledge they will one day run the country or prehaps lead us into war against Johnny foreigner.
Sometimes the whole city cannot contain its joyous excitement and we all break into a spontaneous orchestrated choreographed musical, chimney sweeps and gas lamp boys and bedders whirling together in unison and harmony .
