Don't. Just get the Tub repair spray and stroll on. Or not, actually, as you can ride.

Does it work? I've heard its liable to burst..

Or get some tubeless sealant and whack it in the tubes

Does it bollox. Or the sealant which my honourable friend mentioned a few moments ago. Tubs is cream, keep 'em.

Thank you for your words of wisdom...
Would this be the right type of thing?

In my ignorance I loosened the tyre from the rim....do you reckon its ok just to glue it back up or should I start again with a fresh tyre?

Hi,
Hoping for some advice if anyone would be so kind....
Bought the below Brian Rourke which was very nice to ride until I got a puncture and realised it was tubulars rather than clinchers. Unfortunately I don't have the funds or the energy to run tubulars so want to switch them to clinchers. However I'm getting quoted a lot to get them switched over (£150 to £170).
Has anyone got any suggestions on the easiest and cheapest way to get it to clinchers?

Thanks in advance
Ps I'm in London
Buy two clincher rims to replace the tubs, sell the tub rims.

two nice looking rims for peanuts
spokes will be another £40
and wheelbuilding could be another £40, maybe less -

Why don't you just buy a tub conversion kit?
I think it's about £8 per rim, you get 2 hooked metal beads you attach to each rim meaning you can run clinchers!
Less than £20 is way better than £170???

Thanks for all the advice....ended up getting a clincher wheelset fitted and a few other problems sorted by retro di corsa. Very good job!
Therefore if anyone is interested in some tubs let me know. Will do a proper classified in due course.
