I've bought this geared bike for the winter with the aim to put full guards on it, however the clearances between the tyre and brakes is so tight that I cant seem to fit anything on. The problem being I dont want to (and I dont think would help anyway) put thinner tyres on as they're only 1 1/8 and height wont change, and the point was having wider ones for winter, and neither do i want to use Race Blades as they're not going to keep my feet and legs fully dry. Crud Racer ones will fit underneath the brake, but running them with 32c tyres wont work.
So, suggestions as to how to get full or at least a decent set of guards without having to sacrifice tyre size?
