I worked through the snow last year and only didn't come off once. Drivers on the other hand... people shunting and smashing each other left, right, and center and had a car sliding backwards down a hill at 45 degrees! Pedestrian too, I saw a group of five schoolgirls all linked arms stack it and domino on the ice -awesome.
Be prepared for less than capable driving.
