Did you go over the cow and calf? I did it on 78 gi.... was pretty hard work. Definitely more fun with gears like. Londoners wouldn't understand that is why you can't run brakless in Leeds, we have big hills to ride down.

Damn this would have been sweeet.

78? Congratulations!
No, just went and chilled with my mate on one of the rocks that overlooks the city.. he was moving to oz so we went to one of the best views. I am in the process of trying to purchase a track frame and if the fork comes undrilled, I am leaving it that way!

fair one, I live in horsforth at the top of a hill and couldn't be arsed riding brakeless, tried it for a few days but would rather have the back up of a brake, especially if my chain snapped or something like that.
It is really nice up on the moors, you can carry on to bolton abbey all along back roads which is a good ride too. getting a bit cold for it now though. you live in headingley?

I have a brake on the bike I ride now, just if one came undrilled I would probably leave it, for a bit at least.
Would like to do the ride to the abbey at some point, when summer graces us again..
I live just out of town, heading towards west indian centre. You get down into leeds much?

Don't get into Leeds a great deal at the moment, quite busy with work and everytime I go to grab the bike it's either raining or ridiculously cold. It's kind of a spur of the moment thing, if conditions are ok I ride into town and go for a blast around the city.
Do you ride with the leeds fixed gear crowd? the rides always come up when I'm busy or working... Just making some changes to my bike for the winter, put on some porteur bars and changing the gi to a spinny 66 to try and encourage me out. Also to see if I can ride without using the brake.
I know quite a few nice rides out in the country side, geared affairs. All different mileages from 20 up to 70-80. If you keep in touch will gladly show you the better ones come spring. I think alot of people that live in Leeds miss out on what we have on the doorstep.

Have met some of them round the way, but I don't ride with them.
I'm repping a spinny 60, partly for the winter, partly because bob jackson can't do maths..Sounds good, would definitely be game for trying the 80er, seems nobody I know is up for the hench rides on the fixed wheel. Aye Yorkshire is a very green place, supposed to be one of the most green cities in Europe, apparently had the biggest cannabis farm in Europe too.

Damn this would have been sweeet.
it is mine now and it is sweeet!
I have only done that on a geared bike, took the scenic route past the airport. Not a winter venture mind.
The cycle lanes in leeds seem to be made up of glass shards, discarded car parts and smack needles
