  • Am I the only person who actually washes my bike (well, hoses the grit off..) on a daily basis?

  • Yes

  • i haven't washed mine for 17months

  • do you guys not like your bikes?

  • I love mine so much they never get dirty enough to warrant a wash...

  • I clean all the shit out of my brakes and mechs and stuff on my roadie... but the fixed stead loves being mucky...

  • i just wipe the drive cog/ring/chain down, then re-oil.

What you mean you never ride them? Pretty much par for the course on lfgss

One of them, yeah, a little bit. But I do actually keep them polished and waxed so when dirt does decide to stick, it does literally wipe off. I've honestly not 'washed' a road bike in as long as I can remember especially fixed, there's no abundance of gears and mechs to trap crud.

  • Can't remember the last time I clean mine, and it never set foot indoor too (well, only in a bike shop a couple time).

  • My hubshiner broke my fork.

  • 'cross bike stripped and washed weekly as she likes to be loved.
Fixed is a dirty tease that never washes for a bit of daily abuse.

How did we get from a question on leather straps to this?

  • Or the Corny approach - once a year, whether it needs it or not.

    Andy I resemble that remark...
