Personally I recommended the Schmidt Edelux, they work with Shimano hubs (after rewiring), they're plenty powerful but also dipped to prevent other road users from getting blinded;

site boss have that supernova E3 AFAIK, it's very bright and probably the best despite it's hefty price tags, don't know if it'll work with shimano hubs though.
