Sandbox games are repetitive, however some of them draw you in and you don't get bored.
I loved Oblivion, and Fallout 3 made me lose more hours than any other game. I'm not buying Fallout New Vegas yet because I have lots of work on at the moment and I can't really afford to start a time-sink (in a good way) like that at the moment.
Having said that I have just got COD Black Ops and the multiplayer is getting its claws into me
