I've got moss on top of my car (cloth roof) and penicillin farm on the dashboard.
Some people don't like it, even I make sure it's taxed every now and then.
By the way, are you sure your road is private? My car was parked in the parking bay, inside the cul-de-sac belonging to the HA. DVLA still managed to tow it away, because someone grassed me up and they find out, that even council doesn't own the road technically, they do maintain it through a contractor. Or something like that.
