For Sale: Concorde Ciocc frame 58st 57tt Columbus SL

Early nineties Concorde Prelude made from Columbus SL tubing, most of which were made in Italy under licence by Ciocc. This is almost certainly Ciocc built as it has the same style seat stay arrangement, but without being an expert it's hard to say 100%.

The seat tube is 58cm and the top tube is 57cm both measured c to c. The front spacing is 100mm, the rear is 130mm and the bottom bracket is stamped 58SL 10730 and is Italian threaded.

The frame is in great condition although does show some signs of use. There are a few chips in the paint near the seat tube and a couple more around the head tube, along two cable rub marks, but overall the original metallic paint looks great. There is absolutely no rust or dents and the chrome is excellent, bar a couple of tiny pits right up under the fork crown that would disappear with some elbow grease.

It has horizontal dropouts so will make an easy conversion and it still has all the braze ons if you want to gear it up. The BB in the pic is not included although the stronglight headset is.

Overall this is a solid Italian built frame in good condition that will look great once built up. It has has some nice quality touches like internal cable routing, flag braze on and cut outs in the BB shell.

From the look of the seat stays, that does look very much like my (supposedly) CIOCC

From what I understand they used a few different builders, some in Italy and some in Belgium however Ciocc seemed to do the bulk of their work. If it looks similar to yours then it's more than likely it's Ciocc built but I don't think it matters too much anyway - it's a quality frame out of Columbus SL either way.

I can't believe a rusty Bob Jackson can be considered a bargain at £170 and this frame in good condition gets no love at all. Crazy.

I know. I personally think that BJ's are pretty overrated, but for some reason hold their value well here.

This is a beautiful frame, if I needed one I'd be right in there for it- someone offer him £150

I have a very similar model, the squadra. Folks, these are lovely frames.

I think the Squadra was the model above this made from SLX. They are indeed lovely frames and I'm sure this will make someone very happy. It hasn't yet though...still available.

Couldn't sell it on the bay for what I wanted (£195, to net me £175) so it's back up for sale here.

It's now £150 if you can collect from sw6 or sw11. Fucking bargain for a good frame.

Total bargain for a beauty. I wish I could justify having yet another unbuilt-up frame sitting around. Have a bump.
