PEUGEOT ROAD FRAME 1970s/80s
Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting frames. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.
ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL
Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html
for details of what is available.
Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…
** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**
Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

SUN SOLO ROAD FRAME c1980
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C with brake drop of 68mm
Seatpost size: 25.4mm
This Sun frame was built by Raleigh in the early 1980s - its in very sound condition and will make an ideal basis for a budget conversion. The forks are not original. £33
NONAME NERVEX PRO ROAD FRAME 1960s
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C with brake drop of 60mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This road frame which I have been unable to identify as yet was very nicely built with Nervex Pro lugs and Reynolds 531 double butted tubing. It dartes I think from the late 1950s or early 1960s. Its in very sound condition but does ideally need to be painted. It would make a great fixed or singlespeed conversion. £59 SOLD
PEUGEOT ROAD FRAME 1970s/80s
Seat Tube (ctc): 52.5cm (20.75in)
Top Tube (ctc): 53.5cm (21.4in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C with brake drop of 49mm
This Peugeot from the late 70s/early 1980s is in very sound condition. and will make a very good budget conversion - the closer than normal brake drop is a real advantage. The paint whilst a little tatty could be cleaned up to be very useable. £38
STRATTON ROAD FRAME c1988
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm (21.75in)
Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 47mm)
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Strattons are an old established shop (originally it was Claud Butlers main shop) and have had frames from a number of sources - this frame I do not think is one of the Bill Grey ones but it is nevertheless a rather nice late 80s frame. It has had a dent filled in the down tube and two small ones in the seatstays - hence it is only £63.
CLAUD BUTLER COMPETITOR ROAD FRAME c1979
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 45mm)
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531
This Claud Butler road frame from the late 1970s is in very nice condition with paint in extremely useable condition. It will make a very easy fixed or singlespeed conversion and has reasonably close clearances. £75
RALEIGH SILHOUETTE MIXTE FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size 27s or 700C with brake drop of 57mm
This Raleigh Silhouette mixte frame is in gorgeous condition and will build into a great bike - with horizontal dropouts its easily used as a singlespeed or fixed. £75
DAWES ROAD FRAME 1970s/80s
Seat Tube (ctt): 59cm (23.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C with brake drop of 65mm
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531
This Dawes road frame from the late 1970s/early 1980s is in very nice condition and will make a great budget conversion. £74
RUSS ROAD FRAME 1930s/40s
Seat Tube (ctt) : 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 114mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C (brake drop of approx 58mm)
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Ernie Russ started building frames in the early 1930s - this frame I think is from the late 1930s or 1940s. Its in sound condition with some pitting but I do not think the forks are original. However its still an attractive frame that would make a very cool conversion to fixed or singlespeed. £65 SOLD
ADORNI ROAD FRAME 1970s
Seat Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 53mm)
Seatpost size: 26.2mm
This is a rather cool Adorni Italian road frame from the 1970s. Its in very sound condition - the decals are bit marked and there are some scrapes to the paint but it is very useable... And will make a very easy conversion to fixed or singlespeed. £89 SOLD
CARRERA ROAD FRAME 1990s Reynolds 501
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 46mm)
Frame tubing: Reynolds 501
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
This Carrerra road frame from the early 1990s is in superb condition - there are just a few small marks to the paint and decals.. It would make a cool fixed or singlespeed conversion. £85
FALCON SAN REMO ROAD FRAME 1970s Reynolds 531 double butted
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 50mm)
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Falcon are best known for their budget and medium priced frames but in the 1960s and 1970s also had a top specced road frame in their range - the San Remo and they sponsored a full Professional team for much of this time. This frame belonged to Vic Smith, a top amateur road rider and time triallist in the East Midlands from the 1960s/70s. Its in very sound condition but needs repainting as the paint is in very poor condition. And will make a very easy conversion to fixed or singlespeed. £75
