I know I have one Assassin's Creed game and possibly both that I bought used and super cheap. Haven't actually played it though.
I'm currently scurrying around New Vegas, will probably be a while till I get bored.

Fuck year gran turismo 5. I didn't think it was going to ever get released.

how much better is Assassin's creed 2 than 1? Played the first one and liked it but travelling to cities and doing the same missions over and over got a bit boring.

Sort of what I'm thinking about Just Cause 2.
Anyone wanna lend me Red Dead Redemption or Assassin's Creed?
-

it's still a bit repetitive, but bloody good fun.

I thought the same about farcry2 it had the potential to be a brilliant game let down by. how repetitive it was!

I'm glad you liked Alan Wake, Mark. It's sick.
Who else thinks they modelled him on Christian Bale? I was convinced he did the voice acting too but couldn't find anything online.

Thought I'd celebrate my 7000th post by saying nothing of consequence in the Video Games thread. Here's to another 7000 like it.

a lot. the movement is a lot smoother/more fluid and more precise. it's also got better graphic detail. I found traveling between cities really annoying in the first one and they've sorted that out in the second. you can also get around without constantly being chased, which I found quite irritating in the first game.
I really would highly recommend it (you can prob get it pretty cheap now too). I pretty much played it full time while I was off work last Christmas only breaking up sessions to clear up the massive pie of quality street wrappers.
I'm very tempted to get Batman Arkham (sp) asylum. my little brother described it to me as "a bit like Assassin creed, but you have to creep around in the shadows and kill people with batman gadgets". sounds like a win to me (also only £20!)

That game had brilliant reviews as well, I would pick it up as well at that price.
