i'd be heaps happy if we could not have 10 minute gaps between games tonight. This is my only night out all week (ever....not just this week.) and those 10 minuteses make fausto's baby jesus cry.
That's polo mate, sorry. Some games are slower / more equally matched than others. You have to make people get better and score quicker ;)
If it gets dull, shout NEXT GOAL WINS.What's the going street rate for a bit of yellow nowadays?

Yep, and some games can be slow, hence the longer wait.
As I said, shout next goal wins if it's too long on the sidelines. We're getting a fair few people some weeks Rik, so not too much we can do about it!

I still thinking you dont get him, but whatever...

No I get it mate.
We don't have 10mins in between playing the next game, it's way too cold! Some of the games have been quite long, so standing around is cold and dull.
Best time to practice some skills on the sideline I say.I miss Rik more.

Rik understands.
it's while there is no game happening. So one game ends and it takes ages for the next game to start. I am happy to wait while there is a game on. Game over....OK, lets play again!
Anyway....just a little cry. not too bovered....well a bit....but you know....

what you have to do is hurry up the people, grab the amllets out of their hands if need it, and shuflle quickly, get everything ready, people is lazy....
and one everything is ready shout, "we came here to play polo not to chit chat" "Louis to drink, go to the bar" "C'mon ladies, move your asses"
and they will go -

There are people playing at Peckham who should be playing at Newington and Downham with the rest of London.
That was definitely not a "beginners" session I was watching this evening - I think anyone who came along to play for the first time would be a bit intimidated! Its time for the chicks to leave the nest! -

He's right.

Tuesday nights in peckhem is very convinient :D
-
• #1220
As I said last night, I'd go to newington and downham if my shift pattern was different, but at the moment peckham is all that doesn't conflict... Which was useful in the beginning, but now is a bit annoying as I wanna play more!

the other thing to do if people are only free on tues nights is to play somewhere else, seeing as kev sorted out newington lights we could always play there, the nights go off around 9 so i dont think that the neighbours would mind an extra night and if theres a spare court I cant see any problem. i know theres Downham on tues but not everyone wants to go north in the winter if they live south

Tuesday night is NE too, there were 8 or 9 at Mitch last night.

UHM, No need for You tube please. Forum fine, world wide web, non. Things would have been different if you had captured my epic goal rather than my epic stack Kevin.
;)Beginners has come a long way baby and I was so happy to see 12 people playing side by side (albeit slightly awkwardly) at Peckham last night.
A few people do play at other nights and we have 3 teams in the league.
We wouldn't have enough 'beginners' if everyone left once they'd achieved a better level, but if there's call for it then we can always engineer games so that people aren't intimidated.
The last two people to join, Matt and Maciek (sp?) have fitted in superbly in such a short amount of time, so hopefully we don't have an awkward situation.Alex, we have an understanding with the residents at Newington not to commandeer the courts and go there every night, which is why it's in the south in the first place. This may change soon I'm not sure.
Things will be different in the summer and beginners will move more central hopefully enlisting more players so there should be a natural progression for people to move 'up'.Now, who picked up my red ball?
