I finally saw the comments up thread about cat food and had a closer look at the labels on what we've been feeding the cat. No more than 15% protein in wet Felix or dry One both made by Purina!
No wonder she was wolfing it down and demanding feeding first thing in the morning, all filler. And if it was more than a few hours old she'd ignore it so that was a load wasted all the time.
Bought some Iams on Sunday which seemed best of the bunch in the supermarket (35%) and she seems alot happier and is eating it all so no waste and isn't trying to wake us up for a feed anymore. Will grab some Hills this weekend.
