    More people use FCP so there is lots of advise from all skill levels and it's very integrated. I've just never been into AVID since 10 years ago you had to convert QT files, which it couldnt handle. I think they are coming into the FCP market a bit too late, but i havent tried it since AVID express about 6 years ago, so it could have improved is user friendliness alot. So in conclusion andrew, you are of course right, why not try both...
