Brand new boxed 90mm Pro Lite carbon wheels £500 on the TT forum
http://www.timetriallingforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=51597
Saw those. Not bad wheels, but pretty heavy.
Never quite get why people put stuff like 'offers of £500-600'? yes, I will offer you £599 even though I know you would take £500

Anyone got a Pro-Lite Padova disc in clincher they want to sell me for between £1 and £150?

What for, road tt?

I've got them, although the price has rocketed recently (like all bike stuff, apparently). I changed the band for a Kreitler one, as I found it a bit baggy for shorter wheelbased bikes, but other than that, they do the job well.
I use the resistance setting now for doing longer intervals i.e. FTP stuff - can't face that stuff on the turbo.
They're also sold as Sportscrafter rollers in the US, and fixedgearfever has a rollers review which includes them. Useful information. Just google for the link. I'm tired.
whats the noise level like for these? My 'silent' turbo is far from.

^They're on the previous page anyway, about 5 posts ago, look very snazzy though!
Thanks, I was trying to circumnavigate the facist "no-posting-your-own-stuff rule".

You can post your own stuff, it's links to your own ebay sales which are prohibited.

@RPM - yes, but in the fixed configuration.
@TT Tom - pretty quiet without the resistance unit attached. Nowhere near as quiet as my fluid turbo. It does an intermittent vibration thing at certain speeds. The noise is amplified in my case, but virtue of being in a narrow bit of corridor/doorframe. And of course there's the industrial fan adding to the mix.
In conclusion, about as noisy as a mag turbo.

@BMMF,
why not tub then? won't the more efficient rolling improve your time? -
• #160
I was also thinking about using it in the hirsute pursuit.
Don't do tubs, won't do tubs.

Hare coursing?

Pair of Conti Supersonics (clinchers) £35+postage - they are normally >£35 each!
Only used at Newport and covered with wheel covers when not in use.
They have masses of life left in them - basically perfect for use at Newport/Manchester as they have had the coating removed so they are now super sticky. -
• #169
i'll take 'em!
you in london?
-
• #170
Won't they get mullered in 5mins at HH, Rob?
-
• #171
a few people down at HH use them on training clinchers... no more problematic than tubs.
RPM also reccomends them, so they must be worthwhile. -
• #172
Bristol - will pop them in the post though - they hardly weigh anything so postage should only be a couple of quid
-
• #173
paypal?

• #174
sure - will pm you the address :)

Supersonics are fine at Herne Hill. I've punctured once in 2 years on them.
People exaggerate the ill effects of the surface.
