Do you know how long on your bike have been in Birmingham? (I left birmingham nearly a year ago, and never remember them being there)

Ages. Used to be in the city centre sharing with the outdoors shop under the old virgin megastore, when the subway was still there (next to cex) but now its in digbeth, i think on the site of a former bicycle works (either J. E. Goodall, William Neale, Shakespeare and Kirkland or Westwood Manufacturing Co, all who had factories on Bradford street).

i'm after a hydrollic front brake set up for my Marin Northside Trail to replace the Tektro Augira comp it has fitted which I popped the lever out of when I went over the bars, two bike shops and I have both sworn and cursed and declared it impossible to put back together..so on the scrounge,
cant spend much more than £20 ( I know tight budget)
Thanks

Ask on a popular mtb site like Southerndownhill or Singletrackworld.
You'll find something fairly easily. But for £20, it wont be amazing.

I have a black raleigh record frame, 501 tubing but lighter than my smaller columbus frame.
Suit somebody about 6 foot I reckon. Although I rode it at 5'8" pretty happily.
Problem is, one dropout is cracked. Very easy repair if you have access to welding/brazing. VERY EASY, simple straight crack across the dropout.
Price: Free to anyone who will go to the effort to repair and ride it.

dibs, il take it!
that crack sounds easier to get fixed than the one in my frame.
sounds like a better size aswell.
Selling my old racer, not had it very long but I can't get 'into it' so sticking with the mountain bikes.
It's a 10speed Raleigh Phantom Steel frame, front and rear brakes, wheels are nice and round and slightly out of true (don't notice it on the brakes).
