I thought I heard that because of the way the Olympic area was going to be developed (plans which have pretty much been in place since before the bid was secured) there was no room for boris bikes, so plans for boris bikes around there have (rather usefully) been shelved till 2013!!! Might just be heresay though!
It could also be that deloitte, ge capital and lloyds tsb don't like the idea of barclays bikes being ridden all over the Olympic village!! :)
