The markets are shady - I'm always worried leaving my bike there, even if I use me D-lock.
Lucky to get it back Mr Lover. Which bike was it? Did the thief/test rider also have a 38" inseam?

the kona lol
apparently the dude who was riding it 'just found it on the floor' but i reckon he nicked it, realised it was too big and then brought it back

forget polite, he's just plain cheeky... "wrong size mate you may as well keep it"

No way that's right! If he nicked it and didn't fit it he'd just have bailed and left it where it lay. He wouldn't take the risk of returning it surely?

I'm still confused...
Very embarrassing I tell you. I always lecture people about locking their bike up properly, yet today I forgot to bring my key with me and left my bike unlocked by the markets for 2 minutes while I went to grab some tomatoes from a stall about 20m away. I have done this loads of times before and kept my eye on the bike. Came back to the rack and it was gone... Reported it to the police, almost shat myself, then some dude came back on it... so although I'm not out of pocket I was VERY embarrased.
It only takes 0.5 seconds to nick an unlocked bike... so dont do it
