thanks for all the well wishes. at my sisters atm.
basically going about 10mph down strand on the way to london bridge, pull out from bus lane to ovrtake slow moving/stopped bus (cant remember), almost half way down it and front wheel just slipped out and i went down on my right hand side. feet and bike go under bus. bus wheel creeps up bike. cant really move as feet are in clips and bus wheel is on bike. bus creeps up right heel, pain. platform pedal snaps to pieces. bus off. get up and throw bike to pavement, and lie down. kind woman who saw that something bad had just happened (but didn't see as i was other side of bus), invited me in to her office lobby and a man called an ambulance. the woman said it was 61, and i got the first four letters of bus reg. bus didn't stop, probably didn't notice. police arrive, take my details and what happened, and say that the cctv was off at the time, but that from the info they will try work out which bus. to hospital, no serious injuries, i think being clipped in saved my foot as the pedal axle kind of held the bus wheel off me.bike is totalled, needs new frame, rear wheel, cranks, pedals, pos front wheel. security at the office agreed to hold my bike in the basement for a few days (not really bothered if someone steals it, its fucked), and to hold my package for 20min so someone else could pick it up. controller was very good about it. off bike for 2 weeks, on crutches. planning on going in to collect bike and take it to brixton cycles in a taxi. luckily bike is insured under my dads house insurance as i'm still a nipper.
