    ROTO is/was an italian company making BB shells and other.
    Italian BB makers did not only make BB shells with Italian threading, also english threasing.
    It was kind of rule of thumb (nearly 100%) that all Italiand frame builders used a BB shell with italian thread, while dutch, german, english, japanese, and most oterh frame builders usd english tread, no matter where the BB shell came from.

    Besides that, many (sheet steel) BB shells were delivered without threads. Threads were cut at the frame builder plant before or after painting. Example: all Gazelle Trophy series frames and most Formula frames.
