Miche bb replacement?

Posted on
  • hi,

i have miche primato cranks and because im working on a new build im searchin for some good bb (iso square taper , bsa)

as i read on different forums and websites. the miche bb is crap.
first i drove a shimano one wich worked fine.heavy but good in my opinion.

i read that the FSA bottom bracket's aren't any good. the campa veloce seems good but they aren't in the 107mm. so anyone has some good advice?(phil wood is a little but out of my budget)

    thnx in advandce!

    wouter

  • anyone?

  • Miche primato is ISO, so using a shimano JIS BB is a mistake as it will throw your chainline out by 4mm.

Also there is a Bottom Bracket Thread so UTFS!

  • get the veloce, 2mm difference in chainline is nothing. here it is on my old bike

  • Token is a small step up from UN54, available in ISO or JIS in all the sensible lengths and with optional Ti axles and ceramic bearing

  • thnx for the reply's! i will use the tips given on my search!

i searched but didn't found anything that came up with miche replacements.or i didn't searched good enough.

i used a shimano ISO not a JIS. (but then again there are people who do this and have no prob)
