well, i rode past the royal sovereign on saturday which had a sign outside saying it's doing wood fired pizzas - it also has a garden for bikes, never been in but might be worth a look?

Ah, I was wondering if that place had had a "makeover".

http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/pubsandbars/royal-sovereign-review-55960.htmlThe RS has got some very good press in the local neighbourhood in recent years after the current landlord took over. I have to admit that I haven't been yet since that change. It would definitely be worth a try.

We haven't done the Shakespeare in Stokey yet have we?
Which one then, quick straw poll
Shakespeare

or Sovereign

Sovereign is closer :-)
How's the bike situation? Any pub is good if there are either racks outside (and it's not in the middle of an estate) or the allow to bring the bikes in. -
• #6665
From my non-scientific observations of the area around the Sovereign, I would rate it "pretty dodgy".

• #6666
shakespeare has racks and railings so it gets my vote
(and is 2 mins from my house) -

Clapton, innit.

Clapton, innit.
'zactly. And not the mid-gentrification Lower Clapton bit. I have no problem with it but those with conspicuously valuable bikes may do.

• #6669
what about if I called and asked if we could take the bikes into the garden?
-
• #6670
Sounds like a plan. report back.
-
• #6671
will do
-
• #6672
Ok so lovely man on the phone!
we can take the bikes into the garden where there is an outside heated area
pizza is served until 9.30pm
there is also a quiz on that night, he said we didn't have to take part if we didn't want to and we could make as much noise as we liked.
I'm sold! -
• #6673
Sounds pretty good to me. Coincidentally it looks like I may be going there this weekend so I'll let you know how it is.
