Replacement langster cones

  • was any1 replaced the cones on their rear langster wheel? if so which shaimano/wheels mfg ones are compatible?

    thanks

  • the whole wheel?

or the cones in the hubs?

  • just the cones in the hub

  • sorry, misread.

    no idea

  • Did you find out?

  • No, I just replaced the wheel on mine, the langster hubs are utter, utter shit.

  • Yeah if they are anything like stock fuji wheels they will do about 6 months if you're lucky, which says a lot about the rest of the wheel too. Can build yourself a sealed bearing stainless butted spoke wheelset with used velocity deep vs for about 90 quid if that.

  • ^ Should mention im speaking about the formula/jalco combo i had.

  • Well my 2007 Langster rear wheel is still going. All you have to do is regrease the bearings every now and then; a fifteen minute job. Last did it a couple of weeks ago, and noticed that the cones are starting to pit, hence make the effort to get some new ones.

  • i just replaced the cones on my 2007 wheels. my lbs god bless them took their time in finding the right ones and everythings sweet now. been using these wheels for 3 years + they are a bit heavy but not shit
