and you have not had the frames for sale anywhere apart from this thread?
I'm sure Foffa wouldn't even think about breaking the forum rules, so we can expect to see these frames turning up soon in the current projects thread.

Do you look like this?
Why would you think that Dani looks like Skully?

So you have sold 5 out of your 10 frames — on this forum and you have not had the frames for sale anywhere apart from this thread? — you have sold them all via PM's with no actual interest expressed in the actual thread? You have sold them when every compos mentis person posting in this thread has expressed the ridiculous nature of your asking prices? **Plus, with all these 100s of pounds of sales, you have still not made a donation to the forum. **

I have some sympathy with you - you are trying to make a living and I stand by people's right to ask what they want for what they own - it is then up to others whether they pay up or go elsewhere.
Saying that this forum clearly has a 'spirit' to the classifieds section, and that is that things are priced fairly and sold reasonably quickly as a result. fishing is not encouraged and people feel that they have the right to challenge high prices.
When I sell stuff on here I sometimes stick them on a touch high to start with, but there ain't no point. You get no interest and have to drop.
If your plan is to list high and drop each frame by £10-£20 every 24 hours until they go then fair enough, good luck to you.
If you think those prices are fair (especially when you have claimed to have ordered new stock already that you do not have space for and therefore need to get rid of things at clearance prices) then you are nuts.
EDIT - and do you think anyone on here gives a flying one whether you have to pay VAT or run a premises? Do you think there is a reason why bike shops don't list brand new bikes on here at RRP? Is it something to do with the fact that if people wanted to pay top 'shop' prices they'd go to a shop and hand over their credit card, not come onto a classified section dominated by private individuals looking to offload a few spare parts?
Great post, in a somewhat (not unsurprisingly) depressing thread. repped.

I used to find the discussions on this forum quite entertaining and I must admit I ve learned a lot from many people here despite their ways to express themselves not always being the most elegant.
I ve taken all the constructive criticisms on board without taking anything personal but I ve come to the stage where I dont see the point of trying to prove anything more to some of the people here.Rowan42, despite your very funny comments there are actually people that have shown interest in my frames (not all of the through this thread) and perhaps felt that if they were to show interest publicly people like you were gonna have a go at them like you did to me.
And MDCC can you tell me what I have done to deserve all this niceness from you?
Anyway, as they say, you cant make everyone happy so dont try too hard! I m gonna carry on doing my little thing and wont be bothering anyone in these forums again.

i thought you were so passionate about cycling ? so passionate not to make a donation to the forum that supports london cycling and in the end your business .

To be fair Gios I have made donations to the forum in the past. I do support the LFGSS, have met David Kitchen at the Cycle Show and he comes across as a nice and reasonable guy, but lately this forum has caused me more grief than anything, so the money I ve made from selling the frames I will use to buy some Prozac to keep me sane!
