Winter casquette

  • Looking for a nice winter casquette as a present for my g/f. She's not into the Castelli or Rapha ones - would quite like one in either baby blue or pink. Anyone know of anywhere that sells anything to fit the bill?

  • think prendas mentioned something last week about a fresh shipment

Cheers - some of those are a bit fluoro and the more understated ones look quite itchy. I get the impression that maybe what I'm looking for isn't out there, nvm hey i'll just get her the rapha one and have done with it

  • I like some of the prendas ones,

    This one in particular

was actually in the market for another winter hat and like the look of those castelli ones, so thanks for the tip!

  • Go bespoke. Have one made to your specs. Contact Caroline. My first order for a couple of 3-panel ones using cloth from a retired suit jacket is in progress. I am searching in my closet for a cashmere jumper whose sleeve can be used as a donor for the earflaps, along with some leftover coating material, for an earflap cap.

Alternatively, she has a few ready-made ones.

    Good luck.

I have got the Purple Yanco Pads one (www.yancopads.com) but can't find a picture of it on my phone. It is a cross between a deer-stalker hat and a cycling cap. Really comfy and warm.

I also really like this one from Fabric Horse:

  • Also, these are the new ones from Yanco

    They also look cool...
