Trying to repair a high stress area like that is absolute madness. Anyone doing that work must absolutely LOVE paying huge liability insurance premiums.
If it's cracked there, God alone knows what else is lurking under the paint/is ready to crack too. Do you really want to find out with a sodding great lorry behind you, all for the sake of a "shit bike"?
