Reliable sources have it: it's going to be 1995-1998 hybrids with low-end Shimano parts (after a quick fling with the draisinne in the spring 2011).
The early adopter trend setters have already started the late90's-hyb thing as a ironic statement against commercialization and mainstreaming of the fixie fashion. The fabs are seen wearing day-glo vests and they refer to their activity as "coasting". The fashion includes endless conversations at trendy cafees of how cycling is just normal transport for you so you just ride a normal bicycle and it's soo cool that your feet don't move all the time.
