Wanted: 14/15T freewheel sprocket.

  • Hi, not much more too say really. im after a smaller freewheel.

    im pretty much spinning up all the way to work when the nottingham roads flatten out. currently running 42-17. any help would be great!

  • i don't think you'll find standard thread freewheels in size smaller than 16t. smaller ones are usually made in half size thread as found on bmx. why not put a bigger chainring in front and solve the issue in an easier way :-)

  • ah thanks! i did think chainring initially, just trying to even out both sides of a flippidy flop hub. going from 42-15 fixed to 42-17 on the freewheel is not fun. thanks for the advice though, i'll just up the fixed to a 17 and look for a 45/46 chainring instead. 'wanted: 45/46T 130bcd chainring' haha.

  • if I was you 48:17 would be my choice for mostly flat areas with a few milder hills
