I want to create an information system for cyclists to find their way around cities as one of my major projects (I am a Graphic Product Innovation student at London College of Communication) I will be designing a system/campagin etc for London, if you currently cycle or have cycled in another city insight to that would also be helpful.
If you could please take a few minutes to answer some questions on the link bellow:
Sounds like a really good ISTD brief this year. Wasn't so entertaining my time around :(

Hi, just signed up. I've bought an old '80s Raleigh race bike restored as a singlespeed. The plan is to get used to that and then move to a Fixed.
Live in Warwick, so I'll pop into the Coventry and Birmingham sub-forums as well.

Hi Everybody,
Just registered here and came here to present myself.
Was attended to this site by a Dutch contributor who knows lots about Gazelles and other stuff.
I am Pierre, I live in Apeldoorn (Netherlands) and have been in cycling for a couple of decades. Both as a rider and as a worker in the bike industry.
Have been riding and giving training on the concrete 250m track we had here, and also in the " Omnisportcentrum" where we will have a little race soon.
Have been able to help out some Dutch fixieriders the last month with materials.Seems this is a nice crowd and I hope I will be able to contribute a bit.
Cheers!
Pierre

Hi everyone. Just joined here and am also reasonable new to this cycling lark and thoroughly enjoying it, even commuting to work (well, the train station anyway). Lookong forward to a more in-depth look at the forums as this seems to be an interesting place indeed!

Hi lovely peeps,
I live outside the smoke down in sunny rural sussex where single-speed and fixed are few and far between. I also hang out on cyclechat.
I've a couple of single-speeds, a Kona Kilauea based SS mtb, and a Strida folding bike (well it only has one gear, fnarr, fnarr), and two fixed off-the-shelf bikes; an Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Op Track '10 (soon to be sold) and a Charge Plug (which whilst fixed for the commute may well soon get a Sturmey-Archer S2C hub geared rear wheel for weekends). Oh and I have few geared bikes as well.
The commute is 13 miles cross country and how it gets done depends on too many variables to list. This time of year it is often train+strida, and a few days a month on fixed, other times I ride something else. Car? Well I own one but I hardly ever drive it!
Having decided to stop lurking I'm looking forward to learning lots.
Greg

Hey gregAwesome welcome sir!
Sounds like Surrey is sunnier than the smoke... Ive forgotten what sun looks like - can you draw me a picture?
Sounds like a nice collection of bikes you have there. Oh, and dont be ashamed to tell us about your geared bikes as well - anyone on 2 wheels is a friend!
Welcome to the fray!

Hi Everyone,
Just thought I'd post a quick hello. I'm oxford based want to get into cycling and was recommended this site by a friend. Looks like you are all a friendly bunch :)
Unfortunately there seems to be a few pages on this site that are blocked by my works proxy, not sure why but trying to read all the rules / nursery requirements. If I've missed something I do appologise.
Cheers

There is indeed, it's a bit quiet in there but we've sorted a few rides recently and hoping to do more soon (see the "who and what" thread). Here's the link. -
