Retails at $699 (since it's the US model) = £431. Stroll on.

plus sales tax and case = around £500 (depending on FX). SO asking £520 doesn't seem that unreasonable, sharkstar.
and explain how you plan to get one in to the UK without paying import duty (and how that has no value).

Not saying it's unreasonable, merely suggesting what you said was a tad misleading. That said, I'm quite interested, but sort of torn between an iPad and one of the new Macbook Airs.

ok cool - I've updated the OP so that this is a little clearer.
if I didn't have a wedding to pay for I'd probably keep it. there are a lot of new apps for the iPad which have left me pretty astonished to be honest. despite not being a fanboi I counted seven apple products in the house last night (ok 3 are airport thingys) but I can't justify the ipad as well as a laptop, desktop, appleTV, touch and a iphone :/
I bought it for my gal's birthday but ended up giving her something else instead so this is going for a pretty reasonable price.
If you have a mac you can use the iPad as a monitor extension using iDevice - wirelessly which is pretty cool... cooler still is that the connection is bi-directional so you can use the iPad as an input device for the applications it shows from your mac :)

Mmmmmmm, nice. I bought the new Apple TV a few weeks ago, great fun.

*SOLD*
new iPad 64Gb, from the US. literally unused. not ever seen a finger print on the screen. this is the non-3G version, I didn't see the point in getting a 3G version and paying two contracts when you can tether them; who uses their phone AND their iPad to browse the internet simultaneously?
complete with new apple case, all cables (unopened), but no box.
UK retail price is @ £629, I'll take £520 cash.
