  • Yes.

If it's your bike, current projects. If it's someone else's anti-porn or porn depending on taste.

Don't post again. This is going in Porn where I assume it should be..

  • This is what I ride in Tokyo. Bought the Columbus SL frame from Chesini in Verona September last year, it arrived in November and I built it in my sitting room over December. Got it out into the cold, winter sunshine in January. A great ride and it quickly became my favourite among 8.

That is dead nice... quite into bikes with moustache bars atm...

    Thanks!

They're Cinelli 'Priest' bars. The Ambrosio adjustable stem is now a Cinelli too... and there are toe clips on the pedals.

  • priest bars?
jesus how much did those set you back?

  • New pub bike... less than £200 spent i'd say...
If anyone has a 39-46t 116BCD 3 bolt TA ring knocking about that would just finish it... 'til the spring.

That is some pub bike! Very nice. Mine is nearly done now cost about £180 less but looks like it cost £500 less...

Got 2 pairs a couple of years ago for $50 each. They used to appear on ebay from time to time back then.

Ha, cheers Tel, yours sounds ideal!
The wheels I bought from you recently are headed for mine along with the rest of the Gran sport groupset once the weather gets better for some summer tours...

  • what happenned to squoocher's posts?..

  • my nelson in her latest setup:

  • Just been looking to put veloflex pave's on my current project but can't seem to find anywhere selling them in black and tan anymore. Is the master 22 the replacement for the pave?

Really like this actually, only fault I can see is the green wristbands on the hubs, look stupid and pointless somewhere with roads as clean as Tokyo anyway... Other than that it's awesome, what is that crankset?

They're hub cleaners from the 70s, I think and I love them and think they look silly enough to be dead cool. I hate cleaning hubs. The cranks are Stronglight 49A, chromed steel cotterless from the 50s.

Glad you like it... otherwise. Thanks!

  • Those tronglight/TA crankset are definitely great crankset, hell there's reproduction made by other companies due to demand, like VO;

  • ...I have also ordered this custom bolt for the steering.

Is that bolt really left hand threaded?
    What does it do?

  • ^ No, it will be right hand threaded. It's the bolt that will connect the fork to the frame. I'll be using glide bearing in nylon.

I'll second that! My 4 must-haves on bikes are Stronglight/TA cranksets, Lyotard pedals, Brooks saddles and a nice, old bell. 3 of my 8 bikes have Campag cranks on them, though, because they were handy.

If so, shouldn't these bikes have e.g. Ideale saddles and Vitus tubing ?

  • If so, shouldn't these bikes have e.g. Ideale saddles and Vitus tubing ?

No, it isn't about things French. My only French frame is a 1975 Peugeot which happens to be made of Reynolds 531 and left the factory with French components. I built it up with Mafac brakes, Lyotard pedals and Retrofriction levers but the saddle is a Brooks, the stem and bars Cinelli, the headset a Tange, the rims Araya, the spokes Hoshi and the hubs and gears Campagnolo. The bell is Japanese.

It's mainly about what I like but sometimes it's about what I have to hand, as was the case with the rims, the crankset and the bell on the Peugeot.

  • Judging by his user name, I imagine he's a British guy in New Jersey.

    Could be completely wrong.

Nothing gets by you guys ;-)

    Yes. For some reason they've stopped calling them Pavé and rebranded them as the Master 22;

  • chrobin, the Obree is looking fantastic.

it would be even more fantastic is Obree himself is aware of what you're doing.

i imagine hes easily contactable. cant be doing much right now

  • The Cinelli pista will get a new chain stay, this one is not perfect but another is ordered. I cant wait to ride this...

  • I was speaking to him on Wednesday at (http://mrjoneswatches.blogspot.com/2010/10/masters-of-time-launch-event.html) and I meant to tell him about it, but I forgot! I think he'd be very interested.

  • Finally up and running.

Custom geometry Sabbath ti frame (first discussed some time back!), Sabbath ti post, dura ace cranks, goldtec rear on open pro, chris king headset, thomson stem, fsa bars, record levers.

Matching front hub on order, as are a set of honjo fenders.

Still fiddling with bar heights - will probably come down a bit. I'll cut the steerer once I'm happy.

Update, honjos are fitted and steerer cut; just waiting for Sam @ LMNH to build the front.

He is, I tweeted a link to him last week.
