perhaps an enterprising soul from the reserve group could get the route off Phil after the 1st group have completed their ride and lead a repeat some time in the future.
I went on the first one and even with limited numbers you could tell the ride was a little over-loaded on certain sections. You'd have to ask Phil but I think he completed the recce a good 3-4 hours quicker than the actual ride took
