I was walking through a supermarket carpark with my mum when I was 6 or 7 and we saw Tiff Needell and top gear filming in this cool blue sports car with doors that go upwards. They were trying to show how it was a family car and wanted a shot with a kid and a load of shopping. Only thing was the kid they had was crying his eyes out and wouldnt get in the car.
Tiff Needell spotted me a mile off and came running asking if I would replace their bawling nipper.
We used to have it on video (lost now) but there is a clear full screen shot me smiling and waving in the back of the wicked sports car. I felt so fucking cool.
edit. I was also on telly during the 94 Tour de France when it went over the South Downs in to South Harting. My primary school had got the day off to watch some cyclists cane it past us for about 30 seconds. It was right at the bottom of a 10% decent so all we saw was a blur. The tv cameras caught us though, a whole bank filled full of snotty nosed kids screaming at a pack of sweaty cyclists.
