Yes, and no, ish.

I (I'm sure as others) have been in touch with him, via email. My stance needs to be understood as based on a few meetings with him, and not as a personal friendship.

He came over very badly on the forum. He sounds totally antagonistic and argumentative when he is 'read'. But face to face I found it a different story. I warmed to him immediately, despite our clear differences in approach. I care about his well-being, and it has nothing to do with how he was here.

He posted thousands of times, and only one or two that I've read reveal the sort he is. Weird, but he's helpful, willing, and, ironically, I suspect wanted to keep that 'two-wheeled friendship' going.

Perhaps I should meet him more...

I'll stand by, and keep it quiet.
