• Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting and bargain frames together with large budget bike. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.

    ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL

Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html

for details of what is available.

Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…

** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**

Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

    WHITCOMB TOURING FRAME 1988
    Seat Tube (ctt): 19.5in (50cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 20.5in (52cm)
    Rear dropout width: 125mm
    Wheel size: 700C
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
    Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 Pro
This is a very nice touring frame which has brazed-on pivots for cantilever or V-brakes. Its in very good condition though the paint has a number of small marks nothing is very obtrusive. It has one small dent near the bottom of the seat tube which will not be noticeable as soon as a chainset is fitted. It comes complete with a Campag headset. It would make a very easy fixed or singlespeed conversion. £145

KOGA MIYATA PROFESSIONAL ROAD FRAME 1976 ** NEW AND UNUSED**
    Seat Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 122mm
    Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Frame tubing: Chrome moly 4140 tubing
This is a very early Koga Miyata Professional road frame which can be dated by its frame number to 1976. It was originally built up with Shimano Dura-Ace groupset but has never been used. It has a number of small shopwear marks none of which are particularly obvious. I have an almost complete Shimano Dura-Ace groupset of the correct period with some NOS components which could be used to build this frame up. It is not suitable for fixed or singlespeed conversion unless a magic gear is found. reduced to £185

    PEARSON ROAD FRAME 1960s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 63mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a rather nicely built Pearson road frame which dates from the 1960s or early 1970s - its in very good condition and will make a great fixed or singlespeed conversion. £120

    CHAS ROBERTS ROAD FRAME 1988
    Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm (21.75in)
    Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 45mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
    Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531C
This is a really excellent Chas Roberts road frame from 1988 in the iconic blue colour so common with Roberts frames of this period. The paint is generally excellent with just a few small corrosion marks around the top tube cable guides. It could very easily be used as a single speed/fixed conversion. £225

    EXCEL ROAD FRAME 1952
    Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in),
    Top Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C with brake drop of 55mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted tubing
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This 1952 Excel road fillet brazed road frame is in soiund condition but could benefit from a repaint - powder coating would suit the lugless construction. It would be easy to use as a singlespeed or fixed. £55

    FREDDIE GRUBB ROAD FRAME 1950s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
    Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints
    Seatpost size: 26.2mm
This is a very sound Freddie Grubb road frame from the 1950s or early 1960s. The paint is sound. It will make a very easy fixed or singlespeed conversion. £65

NIGEL DEAN EDGE ROAD FRAME c1988 19.5in
    Seat Tube (ctt): 49.5cm (19.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 50mm)
    Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Very small road frames are really rather uncommon and this one dating from the late 80s/early 90s is in very sound condition. The paint has a number of marks but nothing which will be too obvious once built up. It sufficient clearances that it could be used with guards with 25mm tyres making it suitable for Audax/Sportive rides. It has a couple of very minor and difficult to see dents on the top tube - this will not affect the performance of the frame in any way. It has horizontal dropouts making it suitable for fixed or singlespeed conversion. £95

OLMO GIRO ROAD FRAME early 1990s
    Seat Tube (ctc): 23in (58cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 23in (58cm)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C with brake drop of 50mm
    Seatpost size: 26.8mm
    Frame tubing: Columbus Aelle
This Olmo Giro road frame us in very good/excellent condition with just a small number of marks to its original paint. It will make an excellent singlespeed or fixed conversion £89

    JAMES FOTHERGILL ROAD FRAME 1940s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 61cm (24in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 58.5cm (23.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 116mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 57mm)
    Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
James Fothergill was a very well respected Liverpool framebuilder. This frame which dates from I think the 1940s is in very sound condition. More details can be found about Fothergill at http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/builders/fothergill-james.html It is complete with headset and will when repainted make a a great classic frame. £75

  • why is witcomb spelt with a 'H' on that frame?

  • I would very much like to buy the Olmo!
As this is the first time buying, and I'm living in Copenhagen,
I would like to know how you would prefer to be payed and to know the cost of sending the frame to:
    Thomas Fenger
    Slotsvej 49b
    2920 Charlottenlund,
    Denmark

  • (And if, by any chance, the Olmo should already be sold, I would like tu buy the FREDDIE GRUBB ROAD FRAME)
    thx

  • Dibs on the Excel
    Tim Kichenside

  • why is witcomb spelt with a 'H' on that frame?

Its not a "Witcomb' its a 'Whitcomb'. Different frame builders. Billy Whitcomb used to be in Liverpool I think- whereas Barry Witcomb was Deptford.

  • dibs freddie g

  • Bill Whitcomb trained under and was closely associated with Harry Quinn. That is one of his frames.
Barrie Witcomb, son of Ernie is a different builder.

  • its confusin' as listed 'WITCOMB'

  • The Pearson is gorgeous!
