I am interested in 'RALEIGH SILHOUETTE MIXTE FRAME' but I am 5'5" tall. Does its size, 22 in, fix with me?
Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting and bargain frames together with large budget bike. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.
ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL
Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html
for details of what is available.
Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…
** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**
Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

This Dawes road frame from the late 1970s/early 1980s is in very nice condition and will make a great budget conversion. £74
CARLTON ROAD FRAME late 1970s
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C with brake drop of 62mm
This Carlton road frame from the late 1970s will make a great budget conversion. The paint though scruffy is is perfectly useable. It will make a very easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed gear. £35
CLAUD BUTLER COUREUR ROAD FRAME c1980
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 55mm)
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 fork blades
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
This is a very nice Claud Butler road frame from the late 70s/early 80s with paint in generally sound condition. It will make a very straightforward fixed or singlespeed conversion. £79
RALEIGH SILHOUETTE MIXTE FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size 27s or 700C with brake drop of 57mm
This Raleigh Silhouette mixte frame is in gorgeous condition and will build into a great bike - with horizontal dropouts its easily used as a singlespeed or fixed. £79
CLAUD BUTLER INTERNATIONAL CLUB ROAD FRAME 1947
Seat Tube (ctt) : 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C front and rear (brake drop of approx 55mm)
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This fillet brazed lugless Claud Butler International Club road frame from 1947 is in very sound condition (with just one small dent on the top tube) and will look really quite spectacular when carefully repainted. Would make a very cool conversion to fixed or singlespeed. £69
SHOGUN COMP ROAD FRAME c1995
Seat Tube: 58cm (centre to top of seat tube) 54.5cm (ctc)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: 7005 Aluminium alloy
Bottom Bracket Threads: English
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is an extremely nice and light mid 1990s aluminium frame which has hardly been used. It is very light and is in very good condition with just a few marks to the paint. A bargain at £69
UNKNOWN MAKER ROAD FRAME 1950s Attractively filed and thinned lugs
Seat Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 55mm)
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
This frame from the 1950s has lots of really nice little details and beautifully filed and thinned lugs. I do not know who the builder was and if it was not for the fact that the BB threads are English I might have thought this frame was French. Whatever it’s a nice quality frame built from double butted tubing which would make a cool fixed or singlespeed conversion. £75
RUSS ROAD FRAME 1930s/40s
Seat Tube (ctt) : 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 114mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C (brake drop of approx 58mm)
Bottom bracket threads: British
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Ernie Russ started building frames in the early 1930s - this frame I think is from the late 1930s or 1940s. Its in sound condition with some pitting but I do not think the forks are original. However its still an attractive frame that would make a very cool conversion to fixed or singlespeed. £65
PAT ROHAN ROAD FRAME 1970s Nervex Pro lugs
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm (21.75in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C with brake drop of 60mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
The Pat Rohan shop was in Pinner ( I believe it might still be there) and the frames in the 1970s and early 80s were built by Ron Thomas... This frame is in sound condition though the paint is poor. It is built from Reynolds 531 double butted tubing and has the chunky double taper seatstays that were were popular in the 1970s. It will make a very easy conversion. £59
STRATTON ROAD FRAME c1988
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm (21.75in)
Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 47mm)
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Strattons are an old established shop (originally it was Claud Butlers main shop) and have had frames from a number of sources - this frame I do not think is one of the Bill Grey ones but it is nevertheless a rather nice late 80s frame. It has had a dent filled in the down tube and two small ones in the seatstays - hence it is only £69.
