  • No such thing as a track BCD is there ? Chainline is defined by BB size, those Charlie the Bikemonger cranks are by any definition track cranks.

    Although I do not agree with your opinion on cranks it is something I feel very strongly about and have researched and considered deeply. They are not track cranks, they were never designed to be. They could be used as track cranks, but thats not ideal at all. as you know for track standard 42mm chainline you need a 103 BB instead of the very common 107-110mm. due to the BCD if I want another 1/8" ring im stuck with what comes with it or some daft looking brightly coloured expensive sugino ones.

    If I take my old shimano cranks from a tourer, made for triple chainrings, 110BCD and 175mm and stick a sugino 1/8" BMX chainring on it does that make they track cranks?
