  • haha rainy day and off work. not in the mood for mtbing...whats a guy to do!

  • Needed:

    • Risers
    • 103mm bb (english threaded, square taper)
    • Leather toe straps (any colour)
    • Cheap crankset (£20ish)
  • got a beater crankset for cheap....and a BB

    Call me x

  • Rad! I'll phone when I'm out of the office

  • Saturday 30th of October
    South Chailey Village Hall
    LEWES CYCLE JUMBLE!

perfect place to unload and reload on crap. Indoor and outdoor stalls.

  • id love a nice cheap rear wheel if there is one going... would also love if it was black deep-v but beggars being choosers comes to mind on that. Anyone?

  • Im getting a freecycle frame on saturday in order to construct a polo bike, but apparently the headset loosens after every ride, i was wondering if anyone could help offer advice next week, before i head to cranks on the friday, so i am at least a little prepared!

  • what type of headset, i'll assume threaded

    not seated properly?

  • I dont really have any idea, until i pick it up and take a closer look, but this was one of the ideas that had crossed my mind. But the guy seems to think its either an ovalized tube or headset is shot...

  • loose cups?
    Nackered Bearings?
    Cracked cup/s?
    Flared Headtube?
    Cracked/misseated fork race

  • My headset also loosens itself in this manner. I have a little trick though - I tighten it up when it's loose! When I'm riding I just use my gloved digits, no need to fork out for expensive tools that way. I haven't come a-cropper.....yet.

  • Spent my youth tightening bmx headsets every 30 mins until I discovered loctite!

  • Anyone have a straight Dirty Harry Lever kicking about? I need the lever part to replace my factory bent one. Dont think im going to be able to bend it back without snapping.

  • thought i'd post this on here before i put it on the main classfields. i'm getting rid off my pac designs ultimate messenger bag (black). it's the shit as far as messenger bags go. only getting rid of it in favour of a backpack (i'm after something like one of the reload/mission/chrome ones) cos i have a bad back. it's in very good condition, so i'm asking £180 ono. sounds expensive but the go for around £250 new, but this is really top of the range as far as bags go. i'll send pics if anyone's interested. check the website...

  • Anyone got an ahead stem for 26mm bars? around 100mm

    cheers

  • Got a 700c hed deep section wheel up for grabs its well used but still true and the bearings a buttery one of the spokes has a superficial knock in it, looking for 180 obo collected or i can meet at telecom house/preston park most days, or kemptown mornings/evenings, rlly want to get shot of this because i need a winter coat so badly as my ex misses has mine up north and its not worth the expense/earache to get it. haha.

  • Front or Rear?

  • +pics! how deep is it?

  • 11cm i think, front, clincher & track specific btw. il throw in the valve extention too!! il also price drop if someone has a turd bike on offer.

  • Anyone got any cranks going? bought some the other day but they rub against the rear stay, the outer ring is attached to the arm, so not suitable. And putting different cranks on seems easier than replacing bb.
    cheers

  • square taper? ISIS? External BB? What cranks have you currently got that are too close?

  • I got a campag double, chorus I think, but the left arm is not matching (you can hardly tell)
They are 172.5 mm length and 135 BCD I think

Open to offers if they sound suitable?

I'm after a square taper bb BSA(standard) thread - 107mm length or so I think
    a 130mm bcd 5 arm chainring 44-52 t pref 1/8"
a pair of 1+1/8" forks pref carbon 700c
a nice flat bar, maybe even bar/stem combo A head to fit 1+1/8" forks
    a set of 700c tyres

anyone got anything that sounds close?

  • yeah they could be good, what price where you thinking?
    It's got a Shimano UN54 bb installed

  • I dunno? Up for trading if you got anything on my list above

    Otherwise how does £25 sound?

  • BNIB Brooks Challenge Tool/Saddle Bag

Black, still in (little squashed) box. Cost $45. Cheapest price I can find is Spa Cycles, at 40squid.

    This in Black;
