after a snowboard...hence epic thread dredge...6'3", 90kg+, size 13s...what sort of size board should I be looking at?

160+ and 'wide'

What do you want to do?
At 90kg+ you want something with some stiffness and pop, a flexy park specific board won't cut it even if the park is your goal.
A stiff 164 wide model would be good for all mountain riding whilst something in a medium flex would suit the park.
K2 make very good boards for the biguns.

eone -- cheers, I was told that sort of size before I think
which looks OK (to my entirely inexperienced eye)
Gav86 -- not wanting to do anything park related, just on and off piste. Don't want to break it. broke two pairs of shitty hire bindings in the first three days...Then delaminated a chunk at the tip of the board.

Looks decent enough, just don't get the flow bindings with it as they are shite. Burton Mission's are great for the money and Cartels are as good as you'll ever need. Get intermediate level boots too - anything up toward the pro level will be quite stiff and will kill your feet if you're not used to them.
I've got a 164 K2 Zepplin I could be talked into selling...

if it's your first time get some comfy boots! salomon are usually really good just make sure you try on as many as you can.
i'd reccommend a second hand board, most of the time you can get ones that have been ridden for 2 weeks max. don't worry if it's not a beginner board.
missions are perfect for pretty much anything.
Mine is still doing nothing, see above^^^
