It looks like I've sold the Ian Piper. I had an unsteady moment last night eating Turkish with wools and nearly kept it, but it's got to go, there are other bikes to be built and ridden. I've had about a tenth of the fun with this that I'd been looking forward to.. hoping the next guy has the other 90 per cent, it's all there to be had. The bike sort of snarls even when it's stood against a wall and on the road it rides like a rottie cross straining at the leash. I've loved every minute of it, from opening the bike box with the frame in it to talking the buyer through it today.
This is probably my favourite photo of it. I took it in Berlin near Checkpoint Charlie last autumn, just as the daylight was starting to fade and the paintwork was starting to glow. I can't tell you how many smiles this motherfucker has given me the last year. Lo pros are awesome and I'm going to miss this bike.
