See, told you aspartame is fine. So is sugar.
I wish the idiots making cordial and soft drinks over here would stop 'thinking of the children' and leave some bloody sugar in their drinks.

Cutting down my high sugar intake in tea and coffee took years. It was partially cultural, plus my family (especially dad) are known for having a "sweet tooth". When I first was here as an adult, I took 6 teaspoons of sugar in every cup of tea or coffee. Funnily enough, my younger brother still does, in Grenada...though he is trim and fit. I first cut down to 4 teaspoons of sugar, and changed to brown sugar. With effort, and a few more years, I got down to three. Several years later, I now only have one teaspoon of sugar per cup of tea of coffee. In all, to get from one increment to another, took a few years each time.
My dad, who weighs no more than 12 stone, still has a bit of tea with his sugar, and still enjoys condensed milk sandwiches. I kid you not.
Forget Aspartame. American studies say that it appears to be carcinogenic. Or, do like Fox, and just give up as if how things taste, don't matter at all.
I went from 6 - 4 teaspoons, because of ridicule here in the UK. I'm glad I made the effort. Now I can't stand even one and a half sugars. Eventually, I may reduce to half a teaspoon. And then death will make it none at all. Imagine, death hastening my good health.
Up to you anyway; but what I do know, is that maybe some people can make such changes easily, but its taken me decades. Good luck.

Every bag of sugar I make is blessed by a priest, that is why it turns the milk brown*.
*not sure what that means, but I stick by it.

The thread is titled sugar. There has been no specification as to which sugar is being questioned.

My EX used to make a dessert, that back in the Philippines was just an at-home snack/treat. The calorie content boggled the mind - it was avocado mixed with heaps of condensed milk. Sweet, smooth, and moreish. I realise that I've been lucky in my life. :D

This is the most unfriendly forum ever.
That^^, my friend, should be a t-shirt.
I thought scare mongering was a method used by goverments or the people who control them, to convince the scum puplic they have to go to war or make people believe they have to do this or do that. (as in having the swine flu jab).As in creating a problem, then wait for the public reaction, then offer a solution. conspiracey or a load of rubbish?
