Cracked Seat stay stent repair

Problem is that a respray would be more than the repair. With the stent repair it was suggested that it could be touched up by a skilled enamel painter. Can you decribe the stent repair in more detail perks?

a stent goes inside atube and is bonded or welded ,IE an internal lug.Ive never done one I would either braze around the crack depending what it really looks like under the paint or pull the stay off and pop a new one on far easier.Would need to be a genius to touch that up without seeing it after far easier to spray the whole lot,depends how fussy you are
