my girlfriend rides through there every morning and just texted me to ask to check the forum to see what happened...
it's really good that we keep a record of all this. cheers to you adoubletap, and everyone else who posts.
i hope rider is ok - by your description we can only hope that the impact was minimal.

^Steve, the family may not have seen a thing from within the cab, and if the young child was in hysterics, I can understand them wanting to distance themselves. Calling it cold-blooded seems a bit rash.

There was a big road closure there this morning. I came through late so I guess this was it. They had blocked the road and were directing traffic around whilst taking photos of a car. I couldn't see anything except the car surrounded by ambos and cops so wasn't sure what it was about. Hope the rider is ok.

^^you work in paediatrics, right? :p
Guy on an ebike turning right from Euston Road into Upper Woburn Place hit by a minicab heading west this morning.
I was just behind a box van being held on red light heading north out of Upper Woburn Place and had no direct view of the impact but heard the minicab driver's horn going for a while before I heard the impact so I'm hoping it was low speed. That right turn is light controlled so one or the other should definitely not have been where they were.
Police were there really quickly in about 2 minutes and ambulance about a minute after that. The guy was being attended to by several people and someone had moved his bike before I even got to the front of the queue of traffic and could see what was going on.
I saw the family/group who were the passengers in the minicab just walk away from the scene on foot before po-po arrived. The kid was in hysterics but dad seemed really anxious to get away which I thought was a bit surprising.
