Ouch, just bit pavement coming home from signing-on. Braking to take a tight turn on the cycle path, front tyre cried 'no more grip' and gave up trying. Take care when the cycle-path you're traveling passes under trees, paving slabs can get very slippery. Schoolboy error, I know, but I suspect that all the experience in the world wouldn't have prevented this one. Slippery paving slab-type pavement+overhanging trees+rain+cheap Chinese tyres=pain!

I'm always pretty paranoid about losing the front end like that in the wet - always end up cornering really slowly/totally upright. I ate shit pretty hard on my bmx losing the front end years ago and it's had me spooked since!

Take note:
When starting riding fixed ride with a brake and always ride with straps, dont follow these steps and you will continue to greet the floor with your face

TODAYS TOP TIP:
dont let your mate who doesnt ride fixed gear, ride your bike. because when they forget there is no freewheel this happens
