  • The LeMond is not fully anti – more a bit ‘Tuesday’; neither here nor there, ignorable...

  • Ha! Harsh though. Granted components wise it's nothing to get excited about but the paintjob is interesting and seems to be quite neatly done.

yeah, i know the components arent anything special, i cant afford better ones haha. was more the frame paint job that i was putting up for bike porn.
and i know, obviously, that the chain is slack lols, i just wacked the wheels on lightly to take the pic as i had dismantled it to get it in the car on the way back from uni and couldnt find my good old adjustable spanner haha!

Nah man, you're not being pulled up on having cheap parts on your bike, though it sure as hell oughtn't be in porn for a myriad of reasons that you'll catch up on in due time.

You're getting stick for the fact that you have no foot retention on a fixed gear bike, your seatpost is in back to front, your saddle angle and bar angle are messed up, your brake cable is in bad shape an you've used a quill to a-head adaptor and an a-head stem on your threaded fork...

The paintjob though looks very nicely done, not my cup of tea but a few more closeups of that might be cool...

Equally I reckon it would look awesome if you went for some primer red rims and drops maybe, bit of a cafe racer/ hot rod look... Might be shite too though...

  • I was talking anti in general, "cunts" was meant as a term of endearment, not a slant.

    :)

  • ^ and on top of that watkjp you posted it in the porn thread, which is a bit of a faux pas.

  • its not really a nice bike. gold is hard to pull off and that doesnt do it. nice frame, but not a nice bike.

    anyway,

    maybe a tea toast...

    puke.

do not want to admit but
I am strangely attracted to.... the.. Bianchi...

  • that puma bike is so bad!

  • I like how the chain is slack, the seat clamp is on back to front, the stem is mounted on a quill to ahead adaptor, the brake cable is kinked where it enters the calliper, the saddle is tilted too far down and the bars are tilted too far up.

    K. So we're agreed, beyond that^^^ it's a win, right?

Paintjob's a win, especially graduated checkers on fork legs...

yeah, i agree with all the stuff thats wrong, fairly new to the whole fixed gear building thing. I did have cages on the pedals but took them off to put on my next project as am selling it at the mo and cba to buy new ones. currently thinking about my next custom frame paint job project at the mo.

  • The paintjob is impressive man! A bit Land Shark for my tastes but pretty impressive nonetheless!

I know the mash is seen as a bit of an easy target for anti porn (to some/most people on here) but this one truly deserves it's place in here.

  • looks much more tastefully done than a lot of other Mash efforts!

  • Lack of foot retention is the only real fail, no? And even then it has a front brake.

  • Found photo;

    that is fucked up
must be some sort of a sick joke

  • Re: the Mash - what's with using a front brake on a non machined rim?

  • It's a carbon tub, some do have a brake surface, just need to run cork blocks.

  • Handlebars on the Mash are fail.

  • The Mash itself is Fail, what r you on about...?

  • puke.

Hmm, looks like a rip off of Underworld's Gibson guitar from something like 20 years ago.

  • Definitely but irish mick already covered the F&F by stating Mashes are an easy target. I really can't see why anybody would want one.

  • Re: the Mash - what's with using a front brake on a non machined rim?

Yes, how on earth did we manage in the hundred or so years between the invention of rim brakes and the introduction of machined side walls?

Oh, and as mentioned, Edge carbon rims have brake tracks, they're just the same colour as the rest of the rim.

  • Why has it got "SHIT CYCLE" on the front spoke?

  • At the Lemond some pages back (I'm blaming Chrome rather than my own ineptitude).
