my question is, how the fck do you get your second foot in... is there some easy trick i am missing or does it just take practice? i'm trying to flick the pedal upright with the front of my foot and slip my foot it in but it's really not happening.
After riding track pedals with clips and double straps for a few months I find it completely second nature to flip the pedal and get my foot in, it seems to happen without even making a conscious effort...
However, after riding on BMX pedals and Holdfast straps this morning I felt like a complete newbie again, obviously there is no lip on the pedal to flip it around, what's the technique to use? With track pedals I just place the middle of the shoe over the upside down pedal and pull back. I'm guessing with BMX pedals it's more a case tapping the pedal with your toe to flip it round?
