  • A finely built Concorde Aquila in very good condition. Super paintjob, nice pantographed bits. It's a tight, real racer with a steep headtube and short top tube as you can see.

    Seat tube is 56cm c-t
    Top tube 54cm c-c

Campagnolo Chorus groupset with monoplanar brakes, San Marco Squadra saddle (Pantani!), Record hubs and Mavic CXP30 rims, as new Veloflex tyres, Cinelli bars and stem, new Tange headset.

Please see the hi-res photos here.

    Yours for €500 ex postage

  • That bike is illmatic

  • Send it to Portugal?

  • @Stubo - if that means what I think it means: I agree

@varinho - sure, last time I checked, Portugal was part of the EU

  • :) sorry, i don´t see that part that you wrote!

  • Peter you spoilt us.

  • very aggressive! good luck with the sale

  • Too small, otherwise I could see me adding this to my other 'Peter V' Concorde. A beautiful example.

  • I also have a size 58 Prelude with Dura Ace, will make an ad after the weekend :)

  • Very tight geo for road bike. What sort of racing would this bike have been used for?

  • What levers are they? You got any similar white hooded levers peter?

  • A nice bike and beautifully made.

+1 to Joe- the only other bikes with such a tight clearance from downtube to tyre I've seen were a three year old carbon "stealth bomber"" Look frame and my original 1971 road bike with a short top tube.

That style is usually associated with Kermesse racing- short circuit round the town/village and many laps, and bike handling at a premium, and as close as you get to track racing, the short top tube is for sprinting.

More relaxed frames are conversely for long rides where comfort comes in as a strong factor- when the Giant TCR got to be used by the Pros the wheelbase lengthened, admittedly at the rear, but its the principle.

The frame is Colombus tubing as per sticker, but which variety please? Just curious.

  • Thanks Diablo, spot on

Tubing is most likely SL, but I'll ask a real expert and update the thread if it turns out to be something else
