...in case anyone interested, this finally went to court this week, driver changed his plea to guilty at the last minute.

£275 fine and 4 points, he didn't lose his license/job, which is probably fair considering me/bike/car I fell against didn't suffer any serious damage.

Hopefully enough to make him think twice about doing similar again.

Perhaps you're a more magnanimous chap than me, but that punishment seems woefully inadequate to me. Were I in your position I wouldn't have been happy with anything less than the driver being banned for life.
